Gubernatorial candidate visits Isles to share his ASAP plan for state

The last time Clark Dean ran for office, he was in high school where fellow students elected him president of the student government.
“I did win, and we had a great year,” Dean said.
Dean, founder of Transwestern’s Transaction Sciences Group, is setting his sights high for his first public election outside of a school setting as he is one of several Republicans seeking the state’s top executive post.
“I believe Georgians deserve a candidate that’s about service above self and committed to helping all Georgians thrive,” Dean said. “As a business guy, if you don’t see what you’re looking for, sometimes you got to roll up your sleeves and jump in and do it yourself.”
His competition in the May 19 primary election includes current office holders Lt. Gov. Burt Jones, Attorney General Chris Carr and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, as well as Rick Jackson, Gregg Kirkpatrick, Leland Olinger II and Kenneth Yasger.
Dean said he is leaning on his background of working with clients to learn what issues are affecting Georgians.
He was in the Golden Isles on Tuesday and Wednesday visiting with various groups.
